AGATA NOWOSIELSKA

Agata Nowosielska, foto Tomek Zerek

Painter, curator and author of texts on art. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk from the Painting Department in 2006. She is also a graduate of the Hochschule für Künste Bremen and Post-Graduate Museum-Curatorial Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

She has been linked with the Gdańsk Shipyard and the Young City since 2004, from the time of her solo debut at Jakub Bielawski’s gallery of experimental art –Klosz Art, and her solo at the Artist’s Colony, run by Sylwester Gałuszka and Mikołaj Robert Jurkowski.

Currently, she co-operates with Żak Club in Gdańsk.

She is a grantee of Bremerkunstipendium, 2007; 2016 grantee of Adam Mickiewicz Institute( Cultural Poland),The Cultural Grant of the City of Gdańsk, 2010,2014, 2018. In 2014, she received the Grant for the Creators of Culture from the Provincial Marshal of Pomerania. 2013-2014 –a grantee in the international project Close Stranger in co-operation with Łaźnia CCA.
